It keeps saying unable to login this app has been disabled. Can I still link to dropbox or is there a way to do it without dropbox?

You need to select the dropbox field once more so that the contact choice is unchecked & the dropbox is checked & says logout (? go figure) Then it works.

I found multiple tutorials and vids how to backup with pkgbackup which is simple. How about one video that shows how to restore from a backup in dropbox from a different device? I can see the backup but cant restore

Dude I restored my apps but I can’t see any of them on my IPhone. The memory, however, shows that I only have 30 GB of free space, opposed to the 64. But I can’t see my Apps and none of the tweaks are available. Do you know what’s going on?

dropbox has not been banned from this app. I just rejailbroke on iOS five and am using it to back up.

  20. mbstylo says:

dropbox blocked this app, so you can’t link your dropbox account anymore!

Alright, if the main problem here is that you are trying to restore photos, then pkgbackup is not the solution. It is meant only for restoring Cydia packages, not anything else. Sorry for not being much of help.

i loged in with my dropbox account, i can still find there a map (4mb) but cant restore it because in pkgbackup it’s showned like an empty field, i can show some screenshots if you need it.
    Some solutions?

  25. iphonetechtalk says:

Try going into settings and making sure you are logged in to dropbox first. If you are not, then log in and everything should work. Let me know if that helps or if not I will try something else.

i couldnt return old backup, it was erased with the new one :( ((.
Than i found out that i made a backup with pkgbackup app from cydia (official!). In dropbox i can see a file (4mb big) but in pkgbakcup i only see a empty last bakcup, the first 3 where good. I also get a warning: you previous backup data doestn exist, would you like… pls help!!!!

  27. ingush1989 says:

so i will explain you hole thing. I synced my photos with iphone via itunes, in sections where you have to give a folder from where itunes takes photos to you iphone. After sync i deleted all content becaus i didnt want someone see these pics from me (privacy :) ). But the problem is after i connected again my iphone, it had deleted my folder on iphone where i stored my pics! :( (( These pics where so important for me. I tried to find my backup from itunes, but i couldnt return->

  28. iphonetechtalk says:

Ok so first off, how did you backup photos with this app? And second, if your only problem is photos, then you can probably restore a backup from iTunes and they should come back. But for the device backup, if you go to your dropbox folder, is there a backup in it?

  29. ingush1989 says:

I’m working on getting a decent enough camera do that with. But for now this is all I have. Thanks for the suggestion though! And I will be uploading videos quite often depending on if I have something interesting to share.

  32. mobzeen says:

Yup that worked a treat. Nice one. You should make more videos but i think you should actually have your phone in your hand or on a stand! More user friendly.

  33. iphonetechtalk says:

Yes I do. If you click the icon in the top left corner it will bring up a settings menu. Look for the option that says "Scan packages on startup" and turn it on. Then click accept changes. This should solve your problem.

  34. mobzeen says:

There does not seem to be any packages installed on my phone. but there are 117 preferences files. do you have any idea how to sort this out. thanks
